Whimsical Redwood Forest Wedding in Santa Cruz, California
This dreamy wedding in the Redwood Forest in Santa Cruz, California was the most beautiful day. They held their wedding at a family friend’s private property which was absolutely gorgeous. It was surrounded by giant redwood trees, greenery and string lights. The bride and groom met in college and worked together at a camp in the Santa Cruz mountains. It was so sweet to start their marriage in a place that is so special to them.
The day started with the bride and groom getting wedding ready with their wedding parties back at the cabin. The bride chose to do a first look with her bridesmaids which was so sweet. This is such a fun and special moment to incorporate into your day. Get ready with all your bridesmaids and right before you put your dress on, gather your bridesmaids for a quick first look. You won’t regret it! They both had a big bridal parties (14 on each side) but it was so clear that they are such loyal and intentional friends that they are loved by so many people! After that, we headed to the redwoods for the bride and groom first look which was also so special. We adventured around the redwood forest taking wedding portraits under the prettiest lighting.
Wedding Ceremony + Reception Beneath the Redwoods
The ceremony and reception were held beneath the redwoods. There is something so raw, and peaceful about a wedding surrounded by nature. This Redwood Forest wedding ceremony was so romantic. It was such a sweet ceremony, with their personal vows and prayer. It was just the most perfect spring day- birds chirping, wind rustling in the redwoods, soft light - just so dreamy.
After the ceremony, they danced the night away with all their family and friends under the string lights and trees, it was magical. There were 150 guests but it felt extremely intimate and special- they are two people that are deeply cherished by many.
